How to get there
Plan your journey
We recommend using Google maps to plan your journey.
Address
ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart
Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH – Hall C2
Messepiazza 1
70629 Stuttgart, Germany
By plane
The international airport connects Stuttgart directly to 123 short-haul and long-haul destinations in 30 countries. As many as 400 planes take off and land here each day. Short waiting times and outstanding service ensure stress-free arrivals and departures for more than 10 million passengers each year.
And after you’ve landed? Thanks to Messe Stuttgart’s unique location right next door to the airport, you’re just 355 steps away from your destination.
More information about Stuttgart Airport.
By train
Travellers to trade fairs and conferences benefit from Stuttgart’s integration in the high-speed ICE network. There are direct connections to and from many national and international destinations. The journey from Paris or Zurich to Baden-Württemberg’s capital takes just three hours.
Messe Stuttgart and the Airport will be connected to the regional and long-distance railway network as part of the Stuttgart-Ulm railway construction project. The new ICE rapid train station is being built on the Messepiazza right in front of the main trade fair Entrance East. This new link will save travel time and offer you more direct connections by rail.
By subway
In 27 minutes to the fair on a direct connection – two city train lines (S-Bahn) offer the fastest way to get from Stuttgart Central Station to Airport and Fair. The stop is only 200m away from the entrance to the trade fair centre.
Almost as quick are visitors who take the tram line U6. The line took up service to the new final stop Airport & Fair in December 2021 that terminates right at the Messepiazza with an additional trade fair stop at the Entrance West.
Find more information at Stuttgart’s public transport association (VVS).
By car
- We recommend using Google maps to plan your journey.
The A8 motorway (east-west connection) runs right alongside the trade fair grounds. Multiple exits make for rapid arrivals and departures. After a short drive, travelers also have access to the north-south axis of the A81.
Please note
Stuttgart city is an environmental zone. Only vehicles displaying a green sticker are permitted within this zone. Because Messe Stuttgart is outside the city precincts, you do not need an environmental sticker when you visit a trade fair or conference. If you plan to visit the city afterwards or stay in the city overnight, you will require an emissions sticker for your vehicle.
More information about the emissions sticker.
By bus
You can arrive by bus at the Stuttgart Airport Bus Terminal for regional and long-distance busses.
Find more information on the local bus lines.
